SPIRITUALLY SPEAKING

We are instructed to write God’s word on the fleshy tablets of our hearts! [2 Corinthians 3:3]

That must be accomplished by an action of the Holy Spirit that resides in our heart.

We can do that is by getting into His word on a daily basis, develop a hunger for His word, pray for that hunger.

Develop a habit of your first thought in the morning is to open your ears to hear what God’s word for you is for this day, wait on Him!

Choose two acknowledged biblical scholars who have developed a daily reading schedule and visit them to seek confirmation.

The problem with today’s evolved American Church culture is that it has become selective with what parts

I came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal savior in the year of 1973, responding to a Baptist preachers call at a Catholic University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, during a Charismatic Conference being held there. Immediately after receiving Christ I was asked by one of the members of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s association if I would like to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I was in awe of the whole event and simply replied, "I'll take anything I can get". I had no comprehension of the journey I was about to begin. What a blessing! Within a few months I was convicted of the fact that Jesus was baptized as an adult male at the age of 30 years. What prevented me of doing the same thing at 33. I was baptized into Jesus by Pastor Tryon, of the Pitcarin Assembly of God church. The first church I found that had the capability of baptizing. Within a short time I met Harry Snitkin and Mike Adams who were owners of a Christian book store and members of Maranatha Christian Tabernacle in Pittsburgh, Pa. A fellowship of loving, spirit filled, born again believers that really changed my life, three pastors, Dennis Carlson, Dale Fife and Joseph Garlington. My heart will always remember those years with sweet recall and every time I have the opportunity to touch base with those individuals again I do. Today Joseph is now Bishop Garlington of the Covenant Church of Pittsburgh and I would encourage anyone living in close proximity and looking for the genuine item, go there. I thank God for our modern technology that enables me to watch their services with streaming viewing on my computer.
